I woke up at 7.30 today with hopes of eating at the same roti canai stall I went to a few weeks ago. What a pity, my parents decided to go to market so I went back to sleep. Now, this was interesting..
At 7.45,
Mum: Isaiah, you wanna follow us to the market or not?
Isaiah: Get to eat roti canai or not?
Mum: No more adi. We tapau something else for you both.
Isaiah: Like that I go and sleep again.
Mum: Caleb got tuition ar later. Don’t wake up late.
Isaiah: Mmm. *walks back into bedroom*
At 9.50,
Isaiah: *runs down the stairs* Eh, mummy, we late adi la!
Mum: Aiyo, what happened? Late for what?
Isaiah: Caleb got tuition at ten right?
Mum: *looks at watch* FASTER ASK HIM TO WAKE UP!
I rushed like crazy to ensure my brother didn’t arrive too late. Bathed, dressed and stuffed my wan tan mee into my mouth. Everything was completed, in 10 minutes. That was an example of a fast-paced lifestyle. Haha. Fast-paced. Anyway, after I dropped my brother off for tuition, I went along to run a few errands for my mum since today was an important day for us. Our church members were coming over to visit us and we were expecting at least 30 people. So off I went, photocopying papers and purchasing goods. When I crossed everything off in my mind, I went home and helped my parents out with some food and decorations. Then, my dad went out to pick my brother up. However,

At 11.45,
*Dad leaves the house*
Isaiah: Mummy, where’s daddy going to?
Mum: Pick Caleb lo.
Isaiah: *looks at clock* I thought Caleb’s tuition finished at 1?
Mum: HAH?! CALL DADDY BACK!

I honestly don’t blame my mum for this. She was very busy at the start and I guess all this minor issues didn’t really matter. My dad didn’t come home though. He went on to get snacks for us and eventually got my brother from tuition. When he came home, more work ensued. Sweeping and mopping the floor, cleaning of the tables, shifting of the cars and more but all of our work were halted because my dad had a headache and my mum finished cooking. Haha. So it wasn’t until 6 when everyone started to occupy themselves with chores again. At 7, my church members had already started arriving. I guess the saying is quite true, even in terms of meals. The early bird gets the worm and in this case, things weren’t different. Those who came late, only settled for a helping or if they’re lucky, a second round. Those who came earlier, were already picking their teeth and rubbing their tummies (figuratively speaking for the ladies and literally for the men). Haha. After everyone had had their share of the variety of delicacies, we continued with a mini worship session and also with our Pastor who consecrated and blessed the house. When all was done, everyone continued chatting for at least an hour or two before they made a move as it was getting later and later by the minute. In the end, when everyone had left, it was down to the four of us to complete the last phase of the event. CLEANING. I would proudly say that we accomplished it in a quick and effective way. With me and my brother mopping the floors, it took only half the original time to complete the chore. My parents did the washing up and so within half-an-hour, everything was complete. We kicked back and relaxed, proud of our accomplishments throughout the day. I guess there isn’t much to say anymore about my day except that it was a busy and tiring one. Although that may seem to be bad, it was a blessing in disguise. We spent a lot of time as a family and my personal accomplishment was complete. I never felt anything for you anymore. The final step has been taken and I am victorious in my personal battle. I hope I won’t stone anymore after this. Hehe. Can’t wait for Insidious later today with my friends. I really hope it’ll be a good scare for me. Haha.
