First of all, I would, once again, like to express my gratitude and thanks to my fellow colleagues for making this event a major success. Could tell that all of the participants came and enjoyed taking part in all the exhilarating clashes between teams of various skills. Although I, we, couldn't be part of the tournament competitively, we got we aimed for which was to foster relationships between strangers and also enhance friendships between teammates. Anyway, the major event started at 7.45 (7.30 actually but I woke up late with Yan Zhi anxiously asking me to get my butt out of bed) and then we went to the venue to set up the place. Arranging the tables, chairs, preparing the computers that were to be used by the participants and also the seating arrangements for the teams. 30 minutes later, we were clear to go and teams started turning up one by one and registered themselves for the battles that were about the ensue (cheyy). The matches started at 10 as planned and as they went on, the rest of the teams that were not involved watched eagerly from the outside as they saw lone heroes being picked off, towers fall, an entire team being wiped off from the face of the map and Ancients being obliterated. As the day went on, more and more matches were completed and the last 4 qualified teams entered the semi-finals with hopes of winning the grand prize of RM 150 (which isn't as grand as you think, but hey, we're just students). In the end, one team emerged victorious and dominated all its other adversaries without even dropping a single game. Never before have we seen such teamwork, precise timings in casting their skills and combos and also their determination in finishing off their opponents.  While they celebrated their victory, their worthy opponents looked dejected and disappointed by their effort to clinch the deciding match. Nevertheless, both teams showed encouraging sportsmanship by thanking each other for the action-packed finals and also shaking hands before they left the game room to claim the spoils of victory. When all was over, we shifted everything back to its original place as we were expected to and then headed off for a mouth-watering, stomach-filling and value-for-money dinner. The feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction in a single day. I guess there's nothing more I can ask for in just a single day of hard work. Till next time, amigos!
